Residents of Woodgrange, Hibberdene and Intaba in Ward 13 Ray Nkonyeni Municipality are delighted that they will be staying within this municipality’s boundaries and not moving to Umzumbe Municipality.
Umzumbe Municipality put in an application to the Municipal Demarcation Board (MDB) with the proposal of having these three areas incorporated into its municipal boundaries .
I would like to thank not only the Ward 13 residents but each and everyone else who filled in an objection form.
The ANC KZN chairperson, Siboniso Duma, went on record to say that this proposal would be carried as his home is in Umzumbe Municipality.
