The Sani2c is an annual cycling event that takes place in April of each year. This year, Tidy Towns Pennington, Widenham Retirement Village, Sezela Bowling Club and Scottburgh Athletic Club are involved in moving cyclists’ vehicles from Glencairn Farm in Underberg to Scottburgh High School.
Martin Hanlon of Tidy Towns advises that they are involved in two races – the trail starts on Tuesday, April 23 and ends on Thursday, April 25 at the Scottburgh Golf Course and the main event starts on Thursday, April 25 and ends on Saturday, April 27, also at the golf course.
People are needed to drive competitors’ cars back to Scottburgh High School. Transport is provided from Widenham and/or Scottburgh to Underberg each day. Drivers must have a valid licence, be over 25 years old and have been driving for more than three years. For each car moved, the various organisations involved receive a monetary pay out, which goes towards their various fundraising activities. Should anyone be willing to offer their services call 082 8973511.
Think of others when out shopping. Dry goods, tinned food and toiletries are needed for the donation basket for Tent City at the Live Love Laugh Shop, Pennington. You can make a difference.
A successful ladies’ golf day was held at Selborne on February 29 and from funds raised in the raffle, R5 500 was donated to Pennington Community Watch for the camera project. Many of the prizes were donated by Pennington businesses and residents.
