While on her way to Scottburgh last week, local resident Frances Reynolds spotted an absolute legend – Adhir Permrajee from Park Rynie. He was tired of driving over the muddy mess of a bridge and decided to do something about it. He said that everyone complains about it, but nobody does anything. Thanks Adhir, you are an inspiration.
Scottburgh Lifesaving thanks sponsors for getting members to SA nipper and lifesaving champs in PE. There were outstanding results from all competitors. First place U19 – Tyne van Achterbergh; first place overall U12 – Olivia Cox; second place overall U14 – Reece Ruiter; second place overall U11 – Cruz Roberts and third place overall U11 – Blake Killoran.

The Tidy Towns Pennington team thanks the community for their support. These include supporting the lifeguards with lunch every day and joining the street groups.

Osisibethemba (Sisters of Hope) works with the rape crisis centre at GJ Crookes Hospital in Scottburgh by blessing the less fortunate with clothes, toys, blankets, sweets and snacks, hygiene products (general toiletries, toothbrushes, soaps, feminine hygiene) and more.
