OPINION: Scottburgh councillor assists the elderly

Whistles were handed out to residents of Summerhill Retirement Village.

I reached out to Ward 15 councillor Dana Daniels to inform her about a resident, who unfortunately fell, on the uneven pavement in Scott Street.

I suggested providing whistles to residents, so they can alert others if they experience a similar incident.

Daniels was enthusiastic about the idea and noted that the she would notify security companies.

Recently, she and her team arrived at Summerhill Retirement Village and distributed whistles to all residents.

Thank you for caring for the elderly!
