In my opinion: Ratting out perpetrators will minimise political killings
Ntuli who accused the mayor during a funeral said he was with Magubane when the incident happened.

The only way to end political killings and taxi violence is if people start ratting out perpetrators.
What happened in Msinga Municipality recently where a councillor, Lungisani Blessing Ntuli, accused the Msinga mayor of allegedly being behind the murder of councillor Siyanda Magubane?
Ntuli who accused the mayor during a funeral said he was with Magubane when the incident happened.
In a video currently circulating on social media, Ntuli could be heard saying: “It was like a storm but at the end, it was like seeing a rainbow after the storm. I opened my eyes and I saw him. Let me cut the long story short, honourable Mr Ndlovu, you were not supposed to kill us like that.”
Ntuli said he survived the attack where his colleague was gunned down.
People in the marquee erupted into screams of disbelief and a police officer grabbed Ntuli and escorted him out of the tent, where the funeral was held.”
Meanwhile, on Sunday last week, a community activist and IFP member was gunned down in Mthwalume but no one saw or heard a thing.
Since the year started, the Fever has been reporting on a number of taxi killings where SANTACO had been begging the public to come forward with useful information.
In April 2021, the Qiniselani Manyuswa Traditional Council interim leader, Makhosandile Ngcobo was allegedly abducted in his Izingolweni home and to this very day he has not been found.
The Ngcobo family and the police have been asking for any information or leads.
I think it is high time people started growing a backbone and come forward with useful information to help minimise cases of political killings and taxi violence.
I think these crimes would not increase if perpetrators knew that there are people like Lungisani Ntuli who will not hesitate to name and shame the people they have witnessed committing crimes.
I honestly don’t think everyone is in the dark when it comes to the Makhosandile Ngcobo’s kidnapping, the killing of Thembelihle Qalani and the ongoing killings in the Ugu taxi industry. People need to come out and talk to law enforcement agencies or communities just like how Ntuli did in Msinga so that the necessary investigations can be done.
But that is just my opinion.
