Be a ‘superhero’ for hospice

The 'butterfly bash' was a wonderful event held to raise funds for South Coast Hospice.

Most recently, ‘superheroes’ supported South Coast Hospice’s Mother’s Day event at Umdlalo Luxury Lodge in Umtentweni.

Artist Keith Gait-Smith unveiled a mobile mural of butterfly wings at the event, which was themed the ‘butterfly bash’.

Keith said the wings were a long-time dream for the women at hospice.

“This piece is an uplifting symbol for the organisation and is destined to help soar them towards their goal. The mobile mural is planned to be used to help raise awareness and generate funds to help them on their route to reopening their clinical facility again,” he said.

South Coast Hospice is a non-profit organisation which is entirely dependent on funds raised. This year’s challenge is to secure a guaranteed monthly income to sustain their patient care programme. You can be hospice hero by donating via monthly debit orders, PayPal and EFTs.

Any amount monthly will give them the security where they can plan ahead for their sustainability.
