Awareness campaign in Umkomaas focuses on youth issues
There was a great turnout at this year's event.
Umkomaas Saps crime prevention members were part of a recent awareness campaign addressing youth-related matters and sexual offences.
Non-profit Lifeline joined the campaign at Danganya Clinic last Wednesday.
Attendees were educated on the social issues affecting youth: teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence, femicide, child neglect and more.

Local teachers from various schools also provided input, along with representatives from Lifeline and traditional leadership.
Organisers were pleased with the big turnout and thanked those who contributed to the day’s success.
