Southbroom Bowling Club’s fun day last Sunday turned out to be a resounding success.
It was attended by well over 150 people, with some club members nipping home to fetch garden chairs as peak demand outstripped availability.
According to the club’s secretary, Julie Walker, food stalls were all sold out, and the weather played the game, as well.
The greens, which have been resting after spring treatment, will open again at the end of October.
