Stake out leads to arrests in Hibberdene
Suspects were immediately arrested and goods seized.
An anonymous tip-off of suspected criminal activity taking place at the Carousel in Hibberdene recently led to a successful arrest.
Basil Lanka of Lazer 911 said reaction units were immediately placed in strategic locations to keep watch over the property.
Lanka said that while watching the property, an officer noticed suspicious activity and a taxi entering the property.
Backup tactical and response units, headed by Reaction Manager Johan Zeeman, were swiftly dispatched to the property.
Reaction units surrounded the property and managed to catch a group of men in the process of removing goods from the property.
They were immediately arrested, and the goods seized. The men were handed over to Saps.
The officers involved in making the arrests were Johan Zeeman, David Enslin, Ferdi Grobler and Hendrik Eksteen.
