Flea market to raise funds for kids

Proceeds from the Ifafa Beach Flea Market would go towards organising a Christmas party for children from financially struggling homes in the Bendigo, uMthwalume, Hibberdene and Ifafa areas.

The South Coast Charity Food Drive project will host a flea market at Ifafa Beach on November 2 from 08:00.

Memory Grace and Yolandé Nothnagel are the brains behind the initiative.

Nothnagel said proceeds from the market will go towards organising a Christmas party for children from financially struggling homes in the Bendigo, Mtwalume, Hibberdene and Ifafa areas.

“We already have vendors for the flea market who will sell homemade cheese spreads, beetroot, pancakes, books, Shisa’Nyama (braaied meat), books, there will also be a white elephant table (mixed items) and a nail bar,” said Nothnagel.

Nothnagel added that Ifafa beach is beautiful, has ample parking and is safe for families or solo outings.

Entry to the flea market is free, but donations would be appreciated.
