Join the six friends – Andile Khumalo, Bheki Hlophe, Busani Ndwalane, Bonga Madlala, Mpho Mbili, and Jackey Ngcobo as they navigate the challenges of success and personal growth.

According to Mbalenhle Ntuli, Head of Reality Middle and Mass at MultiChoice, these wealthy friends have experienced a dramatic transformation thanks to their financial success. But behind their polished exteriors lie a tangle of personal struggles and untold stories.
“Ama Grootman untapped a new universe on TV, focusing on a new money phenomenon, fast life, partying, dating, and maintaining the relationships that keep them grounded. This goes beyond the ‘fast life’ as these six friends manage their wealth, confront their issues, and tackle unresolved conflicts,” said Ntuli.
Khumalo and Hlophe spoke to the media about the show. They are family-orientated and traditional men who have led simple lives.
Khumalo said he hoped that sharing some of his flaws could inspire the public to learn from him.
“Just like many other men, I have a past and have learnt from it. I think that’s a good thing. It should be celebrated and shared with the whole world,” he said.
Hlophe said his relationship with the other cast members goes much deeper than friendship, as they are also cousins.
“Since we are all related, it makes us very close to each other.”
Meanwhile, Khumalo said he fears sharing his life with the public as his personal space might be invaded, as he is a private man.
He said he hoped that viewers would watch and enjoy the show while taking all the positives from it.
The producer of the show, Lucky Khowa, said growing up in Port Shepstone, he was fortunate to witness the remarkable bond between Ama Grootman.
He said they inspired the youth and others with their values and achievements, and that made it easy for him to pick them as the cast.
