Recognition for Colts rugby players
The youngsters have acquitted themselves admirably.
South Coast Warriors Colts wrapped up their season recently with a prize-giving braai at Margate Sports School.
Numerous awards were presented on the day, with club chairman Niko Potgieter congratulating each boy on their respective efforts across the various age groups.
The main awards, namely the player of the year in the four age groups went to Eben Botes (U18), Dylan Strydom (U16), Tristan Kotze (U15) and Hlalumi Ntongana (U13).

Best Forward: Preston Nichols (U18), Tiaan Retief (U16), Stefan Labuschagne (U15), Tiaan Labuschagne (U13).
Best Backline: Keagen van der Bergh (U18), Jadon Klue (U16), Keagen Koekomoer (U15), Francois Roets (U13).
Best Defender: Mielies Siphumelele Sigodi (U18), Siyamthanda Vundla (U16), Aiden du Plooy (U15), JP Pretorius (U13).
Best Newcomer: Bonga Mbhele and Simamkele Mbhele (U18), Jack Pattenden (U16), Rick Nqoko (U15).
Most Improved: Marthinus Pretorius (U18), Altus Botes (U16), Leonard Kretchmar (U15), Johan Joubert (U13).
Sportsmanship: Andries Steyn (U18), Mihlali Khwelemtini (U16), Lieben Valentine (U15), Adam van der Merwe (U13).
Try of the Year: Matthew Rothaus (U15), Tyler Smit (U13).
Coach’s award: Divan Dixon (U13).
