Body dumped in stream
A 40-year-old suspect was arrested by community members in Mkholombe recently.
Port Shepstone Saps are investigating a case of murder after a 37-year-old man was fatally assaulted on the head, allegedly with a rock, at Emakhaladini area in Mkholombe recently.
According to the police, the suspect then tried to hide the body in a stream.
“It is alleged that a passer-by saw the body and contacted the police. A 40-year-old suspect was arrested by community members at Mkholombe on October 22 and handed over to Saps K9 members. “
The man appeared in absentia at Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder last Thursday. The case was postponed for further investigation.
