Jail time for robber
Muzi Tira Mbili was sentenced to 15 years for robbing a 40-year-old man.
The Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court recently sentenced Muzi Tira Mbili (31) of Nkampini to 15 years in prison for aggravated robbery.
According to police, three years of Mbili’s sentence is suspended for five years.
On August 26, 2023, a 40-year-old man was on his way home in the evening when he was terrorised and robbed at knifepoint of his personal belongings. The suspect (Mbili) was known in the area, and an arrest was easily effected by police.
The investigating officer in the case was Detective Sergeant Michelle van Niekerk of Margate Detective Service.
