Police conducts ops in Harding

This formed part of the ongoing festive season operations being conducted throughout the Ugu District.

A liquor store in Harding was recently shut down after it was found to have contravened regulations stipulated under the Liquor Act.

According to police, two vehicles were also impounded for contravening the Road Traffic Act.

Saps Harding conducted a disruptive search operation last Friday in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies as part of the ongoing festive season operations being conducted throughout the Ugu District.

“Several vehicles and people were searched for dangerous weapons, illegal firearms and drugs. Two vehicles were impounded for contravening the Road Traffic Act, and many fines were issued to errant and non-compliant drivers. Of the liquor outlets that were visited, one was shut down for not complying with regulations,” said police.
