Darts season to close with awards evening
The Sewraj brothers, Pravin and Venesh end the darts season on a high note.
The Port Shepstone District Darts Association (PSDDA), playing as Ray Nkonyeni Darts Association, will see the close of the 2024 darts season at a banquet and an awards evening at the Andhra Sabha Hall this Saturday (7th) at 17:30.
The association is celebrating its 47th year.
The year-end 180 and 171 knockout competition results are as follows: 180 cup winners – 1st Victor Reddy and 2nd Clive Hurn, and 171 cup winners – 1st Venesh Sewraj and 2nd Johnny Naidoo.
A competitive Action Sports single league was divided into two divisions.
In division one, after 28 rounds, the top position was decided by the narrowest of margins, with both Sewraj brothers, Pravin and Venesh, finishing level on 75 points, eventually separated by winning 108 to 107 games out of the 140 games played.
Division two was dominated by two newcomers who only started playing six months ago. Louis Visser finished on top, and young Advay Prakash placed second.
In the PSDDA singles league division 2: 1st Louis Visser from Snipers and 2nd Advay Prakash from Status Panelbeaters.
The PSDDA represents the municipality at KZN Darts Federation and Darts South Africa national levels.
