RNM mayor welcomes holidaymakers

During the mayoral roadblock, law enforcement officers were on site to ensure safe travel for all holidaymakers.

Holidaymakers passing through the Oribi Toll Plaza were welcomed with gifts a week ago.

The mayor of Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, Zodwa Mzindle, and the CEO of South Coast Tourism and Investment Enterprise (SCTIE), Dr Vusumuzi Sibiya, led the annual mayoral roadblock and handed out goodie bags to visitors.

Sibiya said the South Coast boasts the highest number of Blue Flag beaches in the province, and with all beaches open for bathing – it has been gearing up for a bumper summer holiday season.

Law enforcement officers were on site to ensure safe travel for all holidaymakers.

Sibiya said visitors were directed to the beaches, world-class dive sites, 11 golf courses, hinterland and cultural adventures in the Paradise of the Zulu Kingdom (South Coast).
