Free swimming lessons in Gamalakhe
The lessons are an initiative of Swimming South Africa in partnership with Kwa-Zulu Natal Aquatics and Ugu District Aquatics.
Free swimming lessons will be available to the public at the Gamalakhe municipal pool from today (Thursday) to this Sunday (5th).
Both adults and children are encouraged to dive into free lessons from 10:00 to 14:00.
This is an initiative by Swimming South Africa in partnership with Kwa-Zulu Natal Aquatics, Ugu District Aquatics and swimming coaches on the South Coast.
Speaking to Fever, Eric Jula of the Gamalakhe Blue Sharks Aquatics said everyone needs to know how to swim.
“Nowadays, swimming is not only for recreational or competition purposes. It is a vital life skill for everyone. With the ongoing bad weather conditions that cause flooding, knowing how to swim may help,” he said.
