Family seeks help to find missing son

Vusi Cele has been missing since November 2024.

The Cele and Thutshini families from Ezingolweni call on the public to help them find their missing son Vusi Cele (36), who has been missing since November 2024.

His distraught mother, Zodwa Cele-Thutshini, told the Fever this week that Vusi is her older son who left home last year and never came back.

“My son is from Nodalalne area in Ezingolweni. I gave birth to him before I got married into the Thutshini family. I left him with my parents and his cousins in the Cele family, but my parents died later and left him with his cousins,” said Thutshini.

Cele-Thutshini said her son is mentally ill and is pleading with the community to assist her to find him.

His disappearance was reported to the Ezinqoleni police and Margate police.

According to Cele-Thutshini, police said they are still investigating his disappearance.

“I heard that he was last seen at the Margate taxi rank last year,” said Cele-Thutshini.

If able to assist, contact Cele-Thutshini on 060 4350472 or her daughter Nobuhle Thutshini on 068 779 3724.
