Rugby club needs your help

The Gamalakhe Black Bulls Rugby Club's financial challenges include transport costs for crucial fixtures in Kokstad and Maclare.

The Gamalakhe Black Bulls Rugby Club is looking for donations and sponsorships ahead of the 2025 season.

Lethu Scebi, the club’s secretary, said their first league game is scheduled for May 31.

He explained that their financial challenges include transport costs for crucial fixtures in Kokstad and Maclare, refreshments, and essential rugby gear.

“We are asking for any form of support, be it financial contributions, sponsorships, donations of rugby kits, training equipment such as tackle bags, shields, balls, boots, shorts, and socks,” he said.

Scebi said while they received partial funding from the Southern KZN Rugby Union, it covered just half of their season’s expenses.

”Your help would not only keep our team on the field but also empower and uplift young athletes in our community,” he said.

The club is home to young, passionate players from Gamalakhe, Nyandezulu, Boboyi, and Murchison.
