Smooth victory for Gamalakhe Black Bulls
The Bulls scored the first try within five minutes, but the referee and his assistant ruled it out.
Gamalakhe Black Bulls won 33-7 against Scottburgh Old Boys at the Douglas Mitchell Sports Grounds in Uvongo last Saturday.
This was the first match in the new Southern KwaZulu-Natal Rugby Union season.
The Bulls were hungry for a win from the moment the game began. They scored the first try within five minutes, but the referee and his assistant ruled it out, saying the try was not scored on the field.
However, that did not deter the Bulls, instead it fuelled them to play even harder.
They scored one try after another and one conversion after another.
It was evident that the Scottburgh Old Boys were in trouble.
Meanwhile, the Bulls were overwhelmed with the support they received during the game.
“While we are thrilled with the bonus point victory, we know there’s always room for improvement. We now have to go back to the drawing board, where we will analyse our performance and strategise for even better outcomes ahead. A huge thank you to our supporters for cheering us on,” said the club.
