Athletes shine at bodybuilding show
Thandelakhe Bongani Mhlongo delivered a standout performance, which led to him claiming the prestigious Overall Title.
Bodybuilder Thandelakhe Bongani Mhlongo secured first place in the Men’s Classic Division of the KZN South Coast Classic Bodybuilding Show last week.
The team leader of the Genesis Community Gym, Wanda Mvundla, said they proudly showcased their rising stars at the bodybuilding show, walking away with impressive results and raising the bar for competitive bodybuilding in the region.
He said Mhlongo delivered a standout performance, which led to him claiming the prestigious overall title.
Mvundla said Mhlongo’s achievement was a testament to the hard work, discipline, and drive that define the Genesis Gym community.
“Mhlongo wasn’t alone in making waves. Genesis proudly celebrated multiple podium finishes and top placings. Fuyisani Badebe took third place in the fiercely competitive Men’s Physique division. Aldo Antonio took third place in the Men’s Classic Division. Thando Miya and Lihle Madlala both impressed the judges and earned fourth place in the Men’s Classic category,” he said.
He added that the results reflected the dedication and consistency their athletes bring every single day.
Mvundla said they were not just building physiques, but they were building character, confidence, and a supportive family culture.
“The team thanks the broader community and gym family for their unwavering support, which played a major role in energising the athletes and lifting the atmosphere on the day of the competition,” he said.
