Darts players take aim at SA champs

It's an exciting time for the club.

Margate Darts Association was formed in 2020 after many setbacks in being affiliated to the KZN Darts Federation and Darts South Africa.

The club started small, with 20 players, but now boasts a membership of 68 players, including men, women and youth.

Club players have excelled, with seven chosen to represent KZN at the South African Darts Championship to be held at the Wild Coast Sun in July.

A team representing Margate darts men was selected after they placed third at the recent KZN champs.

Mike Holloway has again been selected to represent KZN at provincial level.

Margate women will also be represented at the champs, a first for the club.

Rentia van Eeden has been selected to represent the KZN women’s masters team.

The club is also proud of the five youth players who will also be in action representing KZN at the national tournament.

They have improved tremendously since they started the sport last year.
