Praying for peace and women’s rights

A prayer service was then held at the Umzinto Town Hall where attendees prayed for the protection of women in communities.

The Umdoni community commemorated Women’s Month with a march and prayer day in Umzinto recently.

The march began at the Shell garage and was led by mayor Mbali Cele-Luthuli and women from local churches.

A prayer service was then held at the Umzinto Town Hall where attendees prayed for the protection of women in communities.

“Women must pray sincerely to break bonds that prevent their voices from being heard,” said Cele-Luthuli.

“What we are doing today should be a call for all the people of Umdoni, leaders and all institutions to do better in the development and protection of women.”

The service was led by Prophet Ntokozo Gwala, who encouraged women to pray in faith so that they can change their situations and find peace.

The Umdoni Women’s Month march was held in the Umzinto CBD.
