Inkosi empowers men and boys at imbizo

The gathering was attended by local men and their boys to learn about traditional leadership and cultural values.

The Nsimbini Traditional Council’s leader, iNkosi Sazi Ndwalane, in partnership with the Ubumbano kwaNdwalane Accountability Council of Churches and Bablo Funeral Services held an impactful men’s and boy’s imbizo at the council hall last Saturday.

The gathering called ‘Imbizo yamadoda nabafana’ was attended by local men and their boys to learn about traditional leadership and cultural values.

Ndwalane introduced his first wife, MaBodla Ndwalane and invited senior women to help her with coaching, counselling and teaching of the traditional council matters she needs to know and adopt as the new mother of the nation.

Then, Ndwalane told the men and boys that they are meant to defend their families, community and his nation.

“You have sticks and shields to defend yourselves, your families, your community and my nation. If paras are intruding on your families or communities and are stealing your properties, you must rise and defend yourselves against them and defend your families and my community. If any person comes to your community and stabs one of the community members, the men in that location must rise to speak to him. When someone comes with drugs to your community, call him out for it because we don’t want it.”

Ndwalane warned young men and boys not to impregnate young girls who go for virginity testing ceremonies, as they are being groomed to become respectful future women of integrity for his nation.

“The girls go through virginity testing and are awarded certificates of purity. If boys take their virginity, we will force their fathers to pay ilobola, so that the boy who took her virginity takes her to be his lawfully-wedded wife. That is our rule as the traditional council, if the father does not pay ilobola, we will open a rape case against the boy,” said Ndwalane.

Ndwalane further warned fathers to groom their boys to become real men of integrity not rapists, or drug addicts because his nation needs strong men who will defend their families and communities. ” Boys must not kill themselves because their girlfriends cheat on them. If your girlfriend cheats on you, leave her, she is not your life partner.. Even you, married men if your wives cheat on you, please don’t be afraid to divorce her and start a new life, don’t kill your self or your family,” said Ndwalane.

Ubumbano kwaNdwalane Accountability Council of Churches chairperson Bishop Sfiso Dlamini said real men lead their families, communities and the nations. “God created the men to lead. We need KwaNdwalane men to lead,” said Dlamini.
