School shoes for needy learners at Insingizi Primary in Nyandezulu

The donation was made by PR councillor Zamani Ndwalane.

The IFP observed its 50th anniversary on October 24, and in celebration, PR councillor Zamani Ndwalane from Nyandezulu donated 50 pairs of shoes to Insingizi Primary learners recently.

“We chose this particular school because it is in a rural area with many children from poor families. I am excited to celebrate this milestone with the IFP as I joined the party in 2000.”

Ndwalane said that it has always been his wish to help people, especially those in need. He said this stemmed from the teachings of the founder of the IFP, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who believed in black excellency and also made sure that areas ruled by Amakhosi were recognised.

“There is a lot that the party did for the community of Ugu and I would like to continue. We need to also learn that what God has blessed us with must be shared among each other, no matter how small it is. It is important to give to others and we should help where we can.”

Ndwalane added that his wish is for these young learners to have the strength to carry on, no matter how life treats them so that they can have a bright future.

He concluded that patience and studying hard will help them make it in life.

At the handover are (from left) deputy principal Queen Madikizela, PR councillor Zamani Ndwalane, Queen Cele and Clr Ntombimpela Mazubane.
