Southern KZN T20 cricket league heats up
There have been some exciting games played.
It’s getting closer to the pointy end of the Southern KZN T20 league, with a few fixtures to be played before the semi-finals and finals.
Some teams have already qualified, others have it all to play for – and this is the case in all three divisions.
Matches have been hotly contested, with no shortage of passion on display.
There are seven teams in the three divisions for this tournament, which equates to 198 players involved every Sunday, with 33 having a bye.
The finals are scheduled to take place on December 7.
Wet weather affected a number of fixtures in the early part of the season, but of late has played the game.
Hopefully this will continue but with summer still to bear its fangs, rain is likely at some point with the cricketers hoping it will fall on Mondays and Tuesdays and no later than that.
Log positions are as follows, but keep in mind that not all teams have played the same amount of games, so this could change.
Division 1: Legends 25, ICC 23, PSCC 20, Vikings 19, Harding 14, Kokstad 14, Super Giants 12.
Division 2: Punjab 26, Port Edward Warriors 26, Crusaders 19, Bizana 19, Harding Sultans 17, Legends B 16, Sezela 12.
Division 3: Vikings B 31, Challengers 29, Payrite 17, Gamalakhe 17, ICC B 10, Mustangs 8, Izingolweni 8.
