Karate honour for Shihan Coenie of Port Shepstone

The shihan's name is synonymous with commitment to karate.

The recent International Shorei Martial Arts Academy (ISMAA) championship held in Gauteng was not only a celebration of Goju Ryu Karate excellence but also a moment to recognise outstanding achievements and dedication.

The organisation honoured students who earned Protea colours over the past two years, acknowledging their hard work and commitment to the martial art.

The ISMAA honorary blazer awards were presented to the following outstanding students from the Ugu region, namely Blake Hogan, Dristhi Duki, Jayden Oosthuizen, Tyrese Faro and Shihan Coenie Vrey.

In a heartfelt tribute, ISMAA recognised Shihan Coenie on his well-deserved 7th Dan grading as well as 45 years in Goju Ryu Karate, a testament to his expertise, dedication and commitment.
