Casper (ghost) lends a hand at business golf day at Port Shepstone Country Club

Sixty-seven players turned up, and with the course in good condition some great golf was played.

The MakMoer business golf day at Port Shepstone Country Club was won on 91 points by Cameron Olivant, Leon le Roux, Donovan Horne and Casper (ghost).

Runners-up on 90 points were Piet Fourie, Deon Meyer, Johan Neethling and Jaco van der Wal.

In third spot on 89 points were Kim Strauss, Jennifer Duncan, Yzelle Greyling and Cecelia Verster.

They counted out Sashen Govender, Ganes Munsami, Kreeson Naicker and Rajen Naicker.

Fifth place on 87 points went to Louise Snyman, Piet Snyman, Gary Vogt and Bevis Fairbrother.

There was a decent turnout of 67 players, with the course in good condition and some great golf being played.

Main sponsor, MakMoer, was thanked, as well as co-sponsor Lee Barker (Jaxx, Schooners and Northside Car Wash).

Nearest the pins were Deon Meyer (5th), Jennifer Duncan (8th), Sanjay Singh (14th) and Colin Paul (17th).

Cameron Olivant was nearest for two on the 13th and the 18th.

Longest driven on the 11th was struck by Connor Wheatcroft.

The next day’s competition was won by Rob Vogt and Morris Moodley on 46 points, two clear of Gerald Koch and Fanie Terblanche.

The previous Wednesday’s competition was won on 39 points by Gerald Koch, followed by Chris Boyce on 37 points.

Tied for third on 36 points were Morris Moodley and Gavin van Wyk, with Brett Wheatcroft next on 35 points.
