Ugu welcomes 70 new police constables

Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Anton Kapp encouraged the constables to uphold the high values and discipline laid out in the code of conduct.

There are fresh boots on the ground, with 70 new Saps constables reporting to various police stations in the Ugu District from Monday last week.

Their workplace exposure learning phase runs from December 8 to May 31, 2026 – a crucial period designed to equip the recruits with on-the-job experience.

Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Anton Kapp officially welcomed the newcomers to the organisation, urging them to uphold the high values and discipline set out in the code of conduct.

He encouraged the constables to apply the skills gained during their basic training and to wear the blue uniform with pride and dignity.
