Ray Nkonyeni Municipality is in good financial standing
The municipality aims to strengthen service delivery with efficient use of public resources.
The Auditor General of South Africa has presented Ray Nkonyeni Municipality with an unqualified audit opinion for 2024-2025, a good financial report indicating accountability and transparency with regards to how the municipality used public money entrusted with it for service delivery commitments.
“The audit outcome confirms that the municipality’s financial statements fairly reflect its good financial position and that public funds were managed in line with legislation and good governance standards,” said municipal spokesperson, Simon April.
April added that the mayor, Zodwa Mzindle, has welcomed the outcome, stating that it demonstrates sound financial management and accountability, and confirms that the public purse of the community is in good hands.
“The municipality remains committed to maintaining positive audit outcomes, strengthening service delivery, and ensuring efficient use of public resources,” said April.
