Golfers beat the heat at Port Shepstone Country Club

George Bowie won the individual Stableford last Wednesday on 39 points.

There have been some fiercely hot summer days of late but this hasn’t prevented golfers teeing it up at Port Shepstone Country Club.

George Bowie won the individual Stableford last Wednesday on 39 points, one ahead of Terry Kotze and Gary Vogt. Eddie Fann was fourth on 37 points.

Saturday’s competition was won by Eddie Ringo and Kirk Larsen on 43 points, counting out Sashen Govender and Howard Crouch.

In third place were Theo van Rooyen and Albert dos Santos on 41 points, counting out Gavin van Wyk and Jesse Verster.

The Hibiscus Coast Electrical Fowl Friday was won by Ken Morris on 21 points, with Gary Vogt, Ian Stewart and Colin Nel all on 19 points. Basil King had 18 points.
