Margate Round Tablers roll up sleeves for blood drive

To add even more excitement to the day, everyone who donated stood a chance to win a spectacular prize: two-weekend passes to the prestigious Oppi Kus Musiekfees.

Margate Round Table 46’s recent blood drive was a shining example of local collaboration and the power of rolling up a sleeve to make a difference.

Partnering with the South African National Blood Service (SANBS), Tablers, Legs, their children, and community members came together for a cause that matters most – saving lives.

Giving back is Tabler, Marius Bergh.

“The support we received from our own families and the Margate community was simply incredible. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to every individual who came through, rolled up a sleeve, and helped us restock the SANBS’s critical blood supplies,” said Shaun Fouche, Margate Round Table Pipeliner who arranged the project.

“It wasn’t just about the number of donations, though every drop counts, it was about the fantastic spirit. It reminded us why we do what we do at Round Table.”

John Hopley was the lucky recipient of the spectacular prize: two-weekend passes to the prestigious Oppi Kus Musiekfees – which is set down for July 10 and 11, 2026 at Douglas Mitchell Sports Grounds.
