Even the rainy weather could not dampen the spirit of many gospel music lovers, who attended the 13th Uvukile Gospel Festival.
This major festival was held at Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre on April 5 (Easter Sunday). It was organised by Joshua ‘Pastor Mjosty’ Mbhele, who had vowed that this year’s event will be bigger compared to previous years.
It proved to be a big improvement indeed, with scores of patrons attending the event. The artists did not disappoint either, and the organisers believe their mission is on track.
Speaking to this publication, Mbhele said: “We are pleased by the turnout of our beloved patrons and the manner in which they conducted themselves. All booked artists did arrive. Everything went smoothly, even though the weather did not play its part. People showed much support towards the event.”
Among those artists who kept patrons on their toes were Pindy P, Sgwili, Melusi Mbokazi, Butho Vuthela, Jumbo and others.
