Twins hit the tar in style

The girls ran in the colours of South Coast Striders.

THE SCHLEHMEYER twins Caitlyn and Nicolette of Sea Park recently spent some time in the Western Cape on a family holiday.

The girls, who are 15 years old and attend Sheppie High, couldn’t resist running in a few events, and competed in the colours of South Coast Striders.

At the 5.6km Two Oceans race, Caitlyn was second in her section. Nicolette did not place but ran a good race nonetheless.

Their times were 23:44 and 28:58 respectively.

At the 8km Merrell Autumn Nite Run, Caitlyn was the third female junior home in a time of 45:49 followed four minutes later by Nicolette who was the fourth female junior to finish.

Their last race of the holiday was the 10km Solms-Delta Draf.

Caitlyn’s hard work paid off and she won the junior female section in a time of 46:29.

Nicolette was the third junior female in a time of 53:51.
