GOLFERS once again threw their clubs behind the Lower South Coast SPCA’s annual charity golf day at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday.
The SPCA’s best supported golf day was a huge success with a total of R35 000 being raised. Much fun was had by the golfers on and off the course.
It was a day of good golf, socialising, drinks and dinner coupled with wonderful prizes and a host of lucky draws.

This is just one of the many fund-raisers organised by the SPCA to create awareness and raise funds for animal welfare, especially the SPCA’s latest project, the much-needed animal hospital.
Michael Muller, manager at the LSC SPCA, said that there had been a 32 percent increase in animal cruelty cases in the last year. “We certainly do need the funding and the support,” he added.
“We thank everyone for their generous support,” said Lynne Harley, PRO of the LSC SPCA.
