A BEAUTIFUL, balmy autumn afternoon brought 22 tennis enthusiasts to the courts last week Saturday amongst whom was visitor Sabine German who plays a really tricky game!
Unfortunately, the person on duty was away, but Chloe Dutton came to the rescue and dashed down to Spar for refreshments which disappeared very fast! Thanks, Chloe.
Members are sorry to hear that Cathy Barker had to have several tests done in hospital last week and hope that the doctors will be able to get to the bottom of her problem soon.
The Book Club held its first meeting in the clubhouse last week and will be meeting once a month on a Tuesday morning.
Luckily the table that collapsed only had unbreakable books on it so not too much damage was done! Apologies to the Book Club members for the mishap.

Southern Counties League starts on Saturday, May 9 and there will be two teams playing on that day, one in Harding and one in Tweni.
However, there will be courts available for social tennis so be there from 2pm.
Hopefully, the bottom courts will be finished early this week but please remember that after completion they have to stand for at least a week.
Please check with Raj Naganna or Isabeau le Roux before venturing on to the new surface.
