HIBBERDENE
THE nominated mixed trips played last Friday afternoon had six full rinks even though there were bowlers playing in the Margate Week.
Arthur and Miram Seager with Louise Snyman were the winners. Jan and Helene Oosthuizen with Chris Snyman came second.
Session prize went to Eddie Milne, Dennis Lewis and Joey Venter. A big thank you to Hibberdene Pharmacy for the generous sponsorship.
Hibberdene hosted the Saturday League with the men playing two games of 21 ends.
Some very good bowls was seen. As usual the catering was excellent. Well done to all involved.

MARGATE BC
THE 49th Margate Week bowling tournament held last week was a huge success and those involved are to be thanked for all their hard work.
Winners in the women’s section were ‘Four of a Kind’, namely Colleen Piketh, Ellen Cawker, Jessica Henderson and Brenda Webb.
Runners-up were ‘The Awesome Foursome’ and third were the ‘Impala Bokkies’.
In the men’s section, winners were ‘Boer Seuns’, Barry Delvin, Ollie Coetzer, Rassie Erasmus and Tabie Jonker.
Runners-up in the men were ‘Top Cats’ and third were ‘Comeback Runaways’.
Good wishes go with the women’s team that leaves on Thursday for the SA Nationals in Port Elizabeth consisting of Jessica Henderson, Ellen Cawker, Barbara Brook and Georgie McKechnie.
The Manaba Kwikspar women’s 2-4-2 is this Friday, May 15. The Martins Electronics Drawn Trips will take place on Thursday, May 21. Bingo will be held on June 2.

MUNSTER
THE Indulgence Mixed Pairs was won by Rick Harding and Leone Bloem.
Runners-up were Aubrey Hood and Joey Anderson. Session went to Pat Ruperto and Arthur Ronaldson, board to Barry Fowler.
Winners of the men’s pairs were Jokkie van Buuren and Dave Banks. Runners-up were Piet Heunis and Aubrey Hood.
Session to Tommie Dry and Martiens Zietsman. Board to Dan Delaney.
Tabs in Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1.30pm. Visitors welcome.
PORT EDWARD
CONGRATULATIONS to Leigh Warner, Myra Doubell and Mary Warner on winning the Marlin Surveying and Mapping Mixed Trips last week.
Runners-up were Jokkie and Marianne van Buuren with Lynn Walton, while the second session went to Joe Ashworth, Glen Allen and Ann McAllister.
Mary Warner was the winner of the 50/50 board.
Tabs in on Saturday, May 16 is at 1.30pm after the first round of the men’s singles championship.

A VERY big thank you to all those who helped at the club during Margate Week. Many sandwiches made, many meals served and plenty of glasses, plates and so on washed. Thank you too to Elliot who kept the greens in perfect order and the men who manned the bar and undertook green keeping and umpiring, amongst other duties.

KEITH Mills and Mike King won the South Coast Herald Men’s Pairs from runners-up Dennis Graham and Mike Findlay. Tickey Nel and Geoff Barbour took the session prize.
Elfrieda Goosen with Spike Maritz and Dumisani Madlala won the Schooners Restaurant (in house) 3-2-1 scoring competition from second placed Daphne Hounsell with Tammy Gibbons and Eudelle Caney.
The next event is the 3rd Avenue Mixed Fours on Friday, May 15.
VILLAGE
A VERY big thank you is extended to all the members who assisted with the Margate Week tournament.
