A cool Canada awaits

You will be well understood if yet again you parlez vous in Montreal!

THE overseas summer has not come up to temperature yet so we could have a cool race in Canada.

This will help in particular in the braking department as Montreal is very tough on the brakes with its fast straights followed by slow corners which mean the brakes are on for a long time.

This should be another success story for the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg but we optimistically hope that others are closing the gap.

In particular this might come from the Prancing Horse stable where both Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen are desperate to get at least a win or two this season.

Canada could be the place where this is possible.

Otherwise we should expect Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Nasr to provide the next best show.

McLaren are worried about maintaining the improvement that they showed at Monaco, where engine performance tends to be equalised, but they also could surprise us.

The Youth Brigade should again provide us with above average excitement and entertainment and I back Max Verstappen for a finish in the top six.

Qualifying is on Saturday evening at 8pm and the race takes place at the same time on Sunday.
