Winners of the Tops Port Edward Men’s Pairs last Sunday were Peter Bennett and Joe Ashworth, with runners-up Dave Hume and Leigh Warner.
Second session went to Brian Cole-Cook and Hannes du Plessis, and the 50/50 board to Rob Lyle.

HIBBERDENE
THERE was a fantastic attendance for the South Coast Week bowling tournament, which attracted 168 bowlers from 25 different clubs.
Fifteen of the clubs were not from the Kingfisher Bowling Association region.
South Coast Tourism sponsored the tournament, as did a number of other business who are all thanked.
To all the catering people, bar services, competition organisers, green keepers and people who gave all the lovely eats at the presentation – thank you.
Thanks also to PSCC, The Bell, Southport and Tweni bowling clubs for all their hard work.
Winners of the main trophy were Barry Delvin, Kobie Stander, Dora Vosloo and Rassie Erasmus.
In second place were Ollie Coetzee and team, followed by Louw Vermeulen and team, Stoffel van Graan and team, and Richard Summer and team.
The plate was won by Jane Massam and team. The Warwick lucky draw was won by Anne Gibbons.
MARGATE BC
WINNERS of the Margate Panel Beaters Men’s 2-4-2 last Friday were Dave Hume and John Kepler, with runners-up Bill Brown and Rennie Geyer.
First session went to Shane Nienaber and Philip Audibert, and second session to Ian Hutton and Alan Dinning.
The next quiz evening will be held on June 17.
The next sponsored tournament will be the Fruit and Veg Men’s Trips this Friday followed by the Manaba Kwikspar Women’s 2-4-2 on June 19.
Well done to the two women’s teams for winning their sections in the league: yellow section – Ellen Cawker, Pam Cole-Cook, Vi Pells, Jessica Henderson, Sandy Jeffrey and Georgie McKechnie; blue section – Barbara Brook, Betty Bolton, Yvonne Bausek, Franci Philpott, Ann Waugh and Trish Bell.

MARGATE CC
UNFORTUNATELY there were not too many entries for the Hibiscus Retirement Village Men’s Trips last Tuesday, but thanks to the Village for their continual support.
Winners were Alan Tyers, Brian Hughs and Norman Isherwood.
No team won both games and the eventual runners-up were Bill Brown, Barry Herbert and Chris Abram.
The session prize went to Gary Hess, Dereck Schorn and Bill Parfitt. John Sutton won the 50/50.
The Hair Shoppe Women’s Fours were also down in numbers. Once again thanks to the stalwarts. The winners were Heather Roberts, Mal Sheppard, Annette Coomer and Helen Proctor.
Runners-up were Marianne van Buuren, Leonie Bloom, Mary Warner and Estelle Carter. Chrissie Chancellor won the 50/50.
On duty June 16 and June 19 are Eileen Lloyd, Ria Botha and Mike Berry.

NOMADS
THE Nomad’s outing at the the Village last Sunday saw 40 players take part. Thanks to Annette Payne for donating the bread.
First prize went to Graham Gold, Hans Hugo, Sharon Scheinberg and Alex Reith.
Runners-up were Betty Bolton, Kobus Faber and Denise Brass, while third place went to Ian Hutton, Alison Dinning and Mickey Jansen.
The Sportsman’s prize was awarded to Heather Roberts, Alan Dinning, Veronica Kemble and Darryl Starkey.
Nearest to the jack and the 50/50 went to Kobus Faber.
PORT EDWARD
WINNERS of the Marlin Surveying and Mapping Open Trips last Tuesday were Barry Payn, Mike Gower and Phillipa Rowney, from Gawie Bosman, Francien van der Merwe and Derek Wicks.
Second session prizes went to Joe Ashworth, Val Smith and Ann McAlister.
The Thursday Superstar Mixed Trips competition was won by Jimmy McAlister, Tony Smith and Ann McAlister.
Runners-up were Dave Banks, Leoni Booth and Grant Walton. Second session was won by Barry Payn, Trevor Smith and Phillipa Rowney.

PORT SHEPSTONE
HARBOUR View SuperSpar again sponsored the Sunday morning trips, won by Brian Rawlins, John Bloch and Therese Barron.
It was a competition with a difference and thoroughly enjoyed by all the players.
Many thanks to Eddie Fann for organising it and playing, despite sardines being netted at Umtentweni Beach.
Runners-up were Phil Myburgh, John Bloch and Glenn Douglass.
Longest day went to Eddie Fann, Johnny Guy and Julia Peacock.
The women’s singles and novice singles will be played this Sunday.

Congratulations to Jane Massam, Tom Semple, Ted Pownell and Martie Human for winning the Plate event in the Hibiscus Bowls week.
Thursday 11th is the south Coast Herald Mixed 2-4-2. Friday 19th is the final round of the in-house 2 bowl trips followed by a meal.
THE BELL
A VERY successful Warwick Fun Day was held at the club last Sunday, with every player going home with a prize.
Well done to Barry Delvin and his team on winning the South Coast Week competition and to Louw Vermeulen’s team on coming third.
The Captain’s Anchor Mixed Fours will be played on this Friday, with the Fruit & Veg 2-4-2 on June 16 and The Bell Mixed Trips on June 19.
Tabs in social bowls are played on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
There will be a braai after this Sunday’s bowls. All welcome.

THE next event is the Harbour View SuperSpar (in house) Mixed Pairs this Friday, followed by the Schooners Restaurant (in house) Mixed Trips this Saturday.

WINNERS of the Hopdens Kwikspar Women’s 2-4-2 were Nancy Hughes and Anne Riley followed by Denise Palframan and Dawn Ingle.
Sessions went to Rosemary Esterhuysen and Marie Momple and Ina Malan and Ilona Landman. Treasure Philpott won the 50/50.
Winners of the Wingnuts Plumbing Mixed 2-4-2 were Denzil Massyn and Marie Momple followed by Hermann and Sharon Scheinberg.
Sessions went to Rosemary Esterhuysen and Hein Bester and to Brian and Nancy Hughes. Denzil also won the 50/50 again.
Winners of the Fruit and Veg Mixed Drawn Trips were Orrill Day, Paul Bosman and Hillary Fick followed by Alan Tyers, Aileen Ward and Lucas Landman.
