FABULOUS life-giving rain fell for the most part of Saturday last weekend so the championship matches scheduled for last week at Umtentweni Tennis Club will be carried over to this Saturday at the same times as last week.
The finals will now be held a week later (if the weather plays ball!) so the bring-and-braai will also be postponed till then. If any matches are played during the week, please remember to let Reel Fincham have the results.
Remember that there are courts available for social tennis for those who have not entered the championships and visitors are most welcome to come and join in, too.
Birthday wishes go to Grant Wood for the 2nd and members wish him lots of good tennis during the coming year.

SOUTHBROOM Tennis Club held its annual general meeting on July 18, which was well-attended by members and visitors.
Peddy Bam stepped down as chairman after two years of dedication, commitment and enthusiasm.
A new committee was elected with Luise Mohr as chairman, Brandon Saunders vice-chairman, Pippa Bromley-Gans secretary, Ronald Stirling captain, Nicky Momberg treasurer, and committee members Mary Rawlins and Brady Mackay-Coghill.
