BOXING returns to the Wild Coast Sun this Friday, April 15 with some great match-ups, featuring some top young talent from throughout South Africa and the DRC.
Continuing the success from events staged in November 2015 and January 2016, Kalakoda Promotions, in collaboration with the Wild Coast Sun has put together an explosive fight card not to be missed.
Heavyweight prospect Ruann Visser returns to South Africa from Houston, Texas to continue building his career.
His bout on April 15 precedes a training camp in May with Wladimir Klitchko in Austria in preparation for the former champion’s rematch with Tyson Fury.
Ruann faces a tough Congolese import in Paul Mukela, now based in Cape Town.
Another exciting match-up sees junior heavyweight prospect Herman Potgieter taking on Falay Kubenga.
Both boxers have knockout power and are forward fighters which will make for an all action bout.
The remainder of the bill has a focus on KZN boxers with the main event featuring Durban’s ‘bad boy’ Lee Dyer in a non-title super middleweight clash against a very slick boxer in Erik Kazadi.
This will prove to be a technical fight and one for the boxing purists.
“Our aim is to position the Wild Coast Sun as a new fight mecca, our partnership with the casino and general manager Myan Moodley creates the platform for this vision to be realised, this venue and its location is a hidden gem,” said Steve Kalakoda of Kalakoda Promotions.
