Karate students shine at SA tournament
The all styles tournament was for elite karate students, brown and black belts from seven years to veterans.
KARATE students from the Ugu region, Amaarah Ebrahim from Port Shepstone Shotokan Karate Club and Tyler Hogan from Suid-Natal Karate club did the South Coast proud in karate.
Both took part in the South African all styles (KSA) tournament held in Durban recently. Amaarah took second position and gold in the kumite and Tyler took third place and won a bronze medal in kata.
The all styles were for elite karate students, brown and black belts from seven years to veterans. In March the students took part in the KwaZulu-Natal trials. Sensei Frank Moodley and Sensei Coenie Vrey congratulated both Amaarah and Tyler for their achievements and other students for taking part in the trials.
