LOCAL riders learnt some of the tricks of the trade from Jodi Pieters, a world-class showjumping rider, when she visited Haven Manor Equestrian Centre in Margate last Saturday.

Jodi provided scheduled lessons throughout the day. Although the turnout of people was a little disappointing due to weather, several riders ended up gaining valuable lessons from the world-class rider.

“I think that events such as these should be more frequent in order to foster talent for competitive riding and to build relationships between people who share a common interest,” she said.

Spectators enjoyed watching Jodi share her knowledge with our local riders. The sponsors were thanked for their assistance.
