Social volleyball this Saturday

The tournament is open to all.

THE excitement and enthusiasm is noticeable among volleyballers as the long and much-awaited social volleyball season kicks off at the Marburg Sports Complex this Saturday afternoon, May 14.

With officials and players coming out from a much deserved rest, the action this Saturday is open to ALL volleyball enthusiasts – families, social clubs, women and even schools are invited to enter.

The Port Shepstone Volleyball Association is urging teams, clubs, scholars and all volleyball enthusiasts (past and present) to enter so that the 2016 social season can get off to a good and promising start.

A special call is made to the women to revive women’s volleyball which has faltered over the years.

If there are sufficient schools and women’s team entries, there will be a separate section to cater for them.

The tournament will start at 2pm and is expected to go on into the evening.

Registrations open at 1.30pm sharp and the entry fee is R150 per team, while school teams will pay just R100 per team.

In all, three sections maybe catered for: premier for the highly competitive league status player, social and the women’s/girls section.

As an incentive, the PSVA is encouraging social teams and clubs who are participating to set up their courtesy guest tenants so as to make it a day filled with fun and entertainment.
