More to come from new MTB trail

There's some exciting news for riders.

FOLLOWING the successful launch of its new mountain bike trail, San Lameer Estate has announced that fairly regular ‘open days’ will be hosted in the not-too-distant future.

The recently added trail was initially intended to be used and enjoyed by homeowners, guests and visitors.

However, due to the popularity of the sport in the region, it was decided that the estate, which is in essence a private, secure township (boasting a championship golf course, among other sporting amenities), would open the trail to the public at certain times of the year.

San Lameer is also a registered conservancy, home to various wildlife, including endangered crown eagles.

“The recent launch was held as a marketing initiative to allow locals the chance to see what San Lameer has to offer and perhaps buy property,” said Jolanda Cloete, marketing manager at San Lameer.

“After the recent launch, requests flooded in from local riders to open the trail to local cycling clubs and riders,” she explained.

“The local cycling community is important to us and we see San Lameer as part of the South Coast cycling family,” she said.

Dates of the open days will be announced in due course. Watch the press for details.
