Rock-ing times for Shane
The local drifter is planning to increase his championship lead.
SHANE Gutzeit will head to the Rock Raceway in Brakpan, Ekurhuleni this weekend, hoping to increase his lead in this year’s SupaDrift Series.
Presented by Lyoness and Achilles Tyres, it certainly promises to be a humdinger of note.
The 2016 championship is wide open. Drivers like Zein Raidon (Komatipoort) and Jim McFarlane (Benoni) will certainly bring the challenge to the current leader, Gutzeit (Port Shepstone).
Gutzeit says that he has a massive respect for his competitors and knows he has to compete and make it count on the blacktop at the next event.
No one can afford to rest. It’s the most competitive drift season yet and anything can happen at the Rock.
The walls are close (to the track) and drivers will have to run them close to impress the judges and keep the competition at bay.
But when you get close to the walls, anything can happen!
