Hockey players show their skill
The tournament kept children away from the television.
A GOOD turnout was evident, in both the senior and junior hockey sections, at Creston College’s astro turf last week Friday.
Forty-five players thoroughly enjoyed the social get-together, dubbed Pitch & Play.
Event organiser, Donovan Rothman, said that many players, especially from Suid-Natal Primary, who do not get a chance to play at their school, went all out to play their favourite game.
“It was amazing to see the skill and enthusiasm shown by the young talent and we certainly look forward to the next one,” said Donovan.
“I believe all players had a great day on the turf and I’d like to thank Creston College for the use of its astro turf in the development of school hockey.”
