THE first San Lameer MTB Open Day took place at the popular South Coast estate last Saturday.
A good response of over 50 local mountain bikers took advantage of the opportunity to ride the fantastic network of trails built for the residents of San Lameer.
South Coast bicycle enthusiast and owner of Giant South Coast, Wayne Tarr said that the quality of the trails within the secure estate was great.
“With seven kilometres of 90 percent custom built single track and man-made structures there was never a dull moment and even the strain of the uphill sections was lessened by being focused on the trails. Since the opening event in June, the trails have settled and packed down well making it even better now than it was then,” said Wayne.
On completion of free riding the trails, all riders were treated to breakfast at the San Lameer Country Club. Dates for future open days will be released closer to the times, and tickets will once again be available from Giant South Coast at Southcoast Mall.
