THE Indulgence Beauty Salon and Peter Bennett open pairs played last Wednesday was won by Rob Lyle and Pat Brand.
Second were Peter Bennett and Ally Weir and third Aubrey Hood and Andreas van der Linde. The 50/50 board went to Rob Lyle.
There will be social bowls this Sunday (4th), ahead of the LSC 2-4-2 mixed pairs bowls tournament to be played at Banners Rest, Port Edward, Munster and Southbroom from September 5 to 9.

WINNERS of the sponsored nominated mixed trips were Albert and Alida Munnik with Werner Mody.

The club AGM was held last Friday. Cliff Moakes is president, Anthony Card vice-president, Phil Longden treasurer. Denise de Witt secretary and David Lindley greenkeeper.
Prize-giving has been brought forward to today (1st) after tabs. Please wear club colours and bring a plate of snacks.
The club will close this Saturday (3rd) with sponsored tabs followed by 30 Club draw and braai.
PORT EDWARD
OVERALL winners of the Graneez/Bootleggers mixed pairs last week were Barry Payne and Phillipa Rowney.
Runners-up were Peter Ziervogel and Sera Koekemoer and the session winners were Headley Meeks and Val Smith.

A most enjoyable Sunday bowls took place in the warmth with some of the most delicious salads and braai ever.

SOUTHPORT
THE Harbour View SuperSpar women’s trips played last Thursday was won by Barbara Fernihough, Susan Fourie and Annemarie Giblin.
Second place went to Tammy Gibbons, Daphne Hounsell and Pat Maggs while Marie Pick, Trudy Rush and Karen Delaney took the second session prize.
The Geochem mixed trips 3-2-1 played last Sunday was won by John Hové, Trudy Rush and Jan Scholtz with Keith Mills, Sharon Bishoff and Therese Barron runners-up.
A major event looked forward to by the club will be the women’s trips interclub between Umtentweni, The Bell, Hibberdene and Southport, which will be an all-day affair on Thursday, September 8.

THANKS to the markers who gave up their time to assist the players in the recent Preliminary Masters played at The Bell.
Winners of the Fruit and Veg City 2-4-2 were Tammy Gibbons and Tony Aveyard. Runners-up were Hew Hodgson and Mada Lindeque. Second session went to Tina and Geoff Barbour.

JOHN Sutton and Betty Bolton won the Hopden’s Kwikspar mixed 2-4-2, followed by Trevor and Yvonne Anderson, on a count-out from Bill and Nelia Reed.
Sessions went to Hein Bester and Rosemary Esterhuysen and to Carl Volker and Rosalie Bloom. Winston van Greune won the 50/50.
The club’s singles champions are Gary Hess and Hazel Hosken, with runners-up Brian Hughes and Rosemary Esterhuysen.
Good luck Gary in the Champion of Champions to be played at AMBC this weekend.
The Hyundai tabs-in drawn mixed trips was won by Ivan Hosken, Irene Holland and Marie Momple followed by Brian Hughes, Yvonne Anderson and Paul Bosman.
The RAC draw followed by a bring and braai will be held tomorrow (2nd).
